Day 1: Arrive Egypt
Real Egypt Tours' representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport. After this you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo
Day 2. Giza Pyramids
After breakfast you will be taken to see the Great Pyramids of the Giza Plateau - namely Cheops, Chepren and Mykerinus. From there we will proceed to the Great Sphinx - the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body - dating back to the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. Back to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Egyptian Museum / Salah El Din Citadel
First, you will be taken to visit the world famous Egyptian Museum where there is housed over 120,000 artifacts of antiquity including the splendid collection of Tutankhamen. From here we will visit the Citadel of Salah el Din and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali..
There will now be time for you to spend at leisure in the world famous Souk of Khan el Khalili where you can wander and haggle for bargains. Visit the famous coffee shop/restaurant of Nageeb Mahfouz and partake of some Egyptian delicacies- either savoury or sweet. Finally return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Day 4: Alexandria
After breakfast we will drive to Alexandria - the second capital of Egypt. We will visit Qaitbay Citadel - built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the spot where Alexandria's ancient lighthouse once stood. See the grand Montazah Palace which combines Turkish and Florentine architectural styles; From there you will be taken to see the new, and much acclaimed, Alexandria Library and finally visit the Roman Cemetery, cut out of the rock, the Catacombs. Finally return to Cairo and overnight there.
Day 5: Final Departure
After breakfast our representative will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for departure.
