Day 1: Arrive in Aswan
Please provide us with your arrival details in Aswan and we will give you a complimentary transfer to your Lake Nasser cruise ship. Check in is at noon. Should you arrive earlier your cabin may not be ready. However all the public facilities on board are at your disposal. Lunch on board. After lunch visit the Kalabasha temple with its Pharanoic aspect remodeled into the Greco-Roman style and dedicated to the god Mandoulis. Visit the Hemi-Speos of Beit El Wali, erected by Ramses ll in the beginning of his High Reign. Also visit the Kiosk of Kertassi erected to honour the Goddess Isis.
Day 2: Wadi El Seboua
Sailing to Wadi El Seboua. Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3: Sightseeing
Morning visit to Wadi El Seboua temple. This temple was dedicated by Ramses ll to the two gods Amon Ra and Ra Harmakis. The temple of Dakka - dedicated to Thoth - the god of divine wisdom, lord of times and science, master of literature. Visit the Greco-Roman temple of Maharakka.
We then sail to Amada. Visit the temple of Amada from the XVlll Dynasty built during the reign of Thohotmosis lll, Amenophis lll and Thohotmosis lV. Also visit Derr - dedicated by Ramses ll to the rising sun. Finally the Tomb of Penout - Viceroy of Nubia. We then sail to Kasr Ibrim. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Sightseeing
Morning visit to the Citadel of Kasr Ibrim - the sole vestige of the distant past of Nubia in its original location. Explanation is done from the sun deck of the ship as entrance to the site is not permitted. From here we sail to Abu Simbel and after lunch visit the twin temples. See the Sound & Light Show at Abu Simbel temple followed by a candlelight dinner on board ship and overnight.
Day 5: Departure
Depending upon airline departure times there is the possibility for a second visit to the twin temples of Abu Simbel to watch the sun rise. Depending on peoples' individual itineraries we will then give you a complimentary transfer to Aswan. This can be discussed with our representative who is on hand to help you throughout your tour.
