Grand Egypt

 

Day 1: Arrive Egypt
Real Egypt Tours' representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and handle all your arrival procedures through Passport Control, luggage area and Customs formalities. After that you will be transferred to your 5* hotel in Cairo.
 
Day 2: Pyramids Tour.
After breakfast we will first see the ancient capital of Memphis which was founded by King Menes and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. From there we will proceed to the step pyramid at Sakkara. This was designed by the architect Imhotep for his master King Zoser.  After lunch we will visit the pyramids of  Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus at the Giza Plateau. From there we will proceed to the Great Sphinx - the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body which dates back to the time of Chephren.  The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which belongs to the Pyramid of Chephren.  Overnight in Cairo.
 
Day 3: Luxor/Nile Cruise
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor where you will be met and transferred to embark your 5* Superior Nile Cruise.  After lunch you will be accompanied for a tour of the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor where you will visit Karnak and Luxor Temples.  Return to the ship for afternoon tea and dinner. Overnight in Luxor.
 
Day 4. Luxor Sightseeing.
After breakfast we will visit the West Bank of the Nile in Luxor namely the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch and afternoon tea whilst we sail to Edfu, via the Esna Lock - a wonderful experience to watch. Dinner on board. Overnight in Edfu.
 
Day 5. Edfu and Kom Ombo
After breakfast we will visit the Horus Temple at Edfu. Return to the ship for lunch and then we will sail to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival we will visit the double temple of the two gods Sobek and Horus.  Return to the ship and continue sailing to Aswan.  Dinner on board ship. Overnight in Aswan.
 
Day 6: Aswan Sightseeing
After breakfast we will visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut but never finished due to a crack in the stone - and the majestic Philae Temple. Return to the ship for lunch - have leisure time on the sun deck. Dinner. Overnight in Aswan.
 
Day 7: Abu Simbel Tour
 Disembark your Nile Cruise Ship, after breakfast. Transfer by private vehicle to Aswan airport to fly to Abu Simbel to embark upon your 5* Nasser Lake cruise ship where you will check in at Abu Simbel. Lunch on board and then a visit to the double temple of Abu Simbel. To show his love, to the world, for his wife Nefetari; Ramses II built the most fabulous of gifts - two temples that were erected as symbols of their eternal love. Overnight on board ship.
 
 
Day 8: Lake Nasser Cruise.
Breakfast is served whilst sailing to Kasr Ibrim. The tour is conducted from the ship's sun deck as entrance to this site is not permitted. Lunch is served whilst sailing to Amada. We will visit the temples of Amada and Derr as well as the tomb of Penout. This is followed by a relaxing afternoon sail to Wadi El Seboua followed by dinner and over night on board ship.
 
Day 9: Wadi El Seboua / Temple of Dakka
In the morning we will visit Wadi El Seboua, the Temples of Dakka and Meharakka.  Lunch on board.  We then sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board ship.
 
Day 10: Kalabsha Temple / Beit El Wali
After breakfast you will check out and disembark.  We will then visit the Kalabsha temple, Beit El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi.  Transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
 
Day 11: Alexandria Sightseeing.
After breakfast transfer to Alexandria. the second capital of Egypt - visiting Qaitbay Citadel - built in the 15th Century by Sultan Qaitbay on the exact spot of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world).  See the grand Montazah Palace which combines Turkish and Florentine architectural styles. We will then move on to see the new, and much acclaimed, Alexandria Library and the Roman Cemetery (cut out of the rock), the Catacombs.  After lunch we return to Cairo where we overnight.
 
Day 12: Final Departure.
Breakfast. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
