Cairo & Luxor Cruise to Aswan & Abu simble & cairo Day 1: Arrive in Cairo Our Representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport from where you will be transferred to your hotel. Check into your room. Dinner and overnight in Cairo. Day 2: Cairo After breakfast visit the El Giza plateau - the Great Pyramids of the Old Kingdom Pharaohs, the Sphinx and the Solar Boat Museum After lunch you will be taken to visit the world famous Cairo Museum which contains more than 120,000 artifacts of antiquity. From there you will be taken to visit the souk at Khan el Khalili. Dinner and overnight in Cairo Day 3: Luxor After breakfast transfer to Cairo International Airport to fly to Luxor. Leave your luggage on the Nile cruise ship and commence your first tour before the heat of the day sets in. You will be taken to see Karnak Temple - the biggest temple in the world and Luxor Temple which is considered to be the Temple of the Three Civilizations. Return to the boat and check into your rooms and then have lunch. In the afternoon you can enjoy free time on the sun deck or take an optional visit to the fascinating Luxor Museum. Early evening there is the Sound and Light Show to see at Karnak Temple. Return to the boat for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Luxor / sailing After breakfast you will be taken to visit the West Bank of Luxor - The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Habu Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Back to the ship for lunch and enjoy the boat sailing to Esna. Afternoon Tea will be served. Dinner and overnight in Edfu. Day 5: Edfu / Kom Ombo After breakfast take a to visit the best preserved temple of the falcon god Horus in Edfu. Back to the boat and sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch and then visit the temple of Kom Ombo - the only double temple in Egypt of Horus and Sobek. Retun to the boat. Sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight in Aswan. Day 6: Abu Simbel Early morning we will be driving you to Abu Simbel. To enjoy the visit of the most important site which it was built by the great pharaoh Ramses ll near by the border of Egypt to show his love for Nefertari to the world, Ramses ll decided to offer her the most fabulous of gifts; at Abu Simbel two temples were erected, symbols of their eternal love. Return to Aswan to the boat and lunch on board. In the afternoon you can relax in a Felucca sailing on the Nile around the Botanical Gardens, the Aghakhan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island. In the evening there is the option (which we highly recommend) to visit the Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple. Return to the boat for dinner and overnight in Aswan. Day 7: Aswan After breakfast check out from the boat. There is a visit to the High Dam, the Old Dam, the Granite Quarries where there is the Unfinished Obelisk commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut - but due to a fault in the stone it was never finished, and the Temple of Philae. Depending upon flight departure times to Cairo there is an optional visit to a Nubian village by motor boat. Collect luggage from the boat and transfer to Aswan Airport for departure to Cairo. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Cairo. Day 8: Cairo / final departure Your tour representative will escort you to Cairo International Airport for your final departure. |
