High Lights of Egypt
Western Desert, Cairo & Luxor
Day 1: Arrive in Cairo. Real Egypt Tours representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel. Check in, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Cairo After breakfast visit the El Giza Plateau; the Great Pyramids of The Old Kingdom Pharaohs, The Sphinx and The Solar Boat Museum. After this we visit the Egyptian Museum containing some 120,000 objects of antiquity. Finally we can visit the fascinating souk of Khan el-Khalili. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: El Bahariya Oasis After breakfast check out from your hotel and begin the adventure of a lifetime starting with the first oasis of El Bahariya. After lunch we visit the Golden Mummies Museum, The Pharanoic Tombs and the Black Mountain. Enjoy a visit to the natural hot spring water and the Roman Spring. We will then return you to your hotel where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: El Bahariya and Camp in the White Desert After breakfast check out from your hotel and visit some ancient monuments in the area. After this we travel to the Crystal Mountain - here you can see how the natural crystals grow in nature. We then drive to The White Desert and on the way you can see The White Mountains. We camp overnight (in a tent) in the White Desert. Dinner is cooked for you and you can experience the wonders of the desert at night - not only the sky and the stars but the animals.
Day 5: The White Desert and el Dakhla Oasis Early morning - an amazing time in the White Desert. You will be able to see the sunrise and how it covers the different natural shaped stones. Take your breakfast and then we drive to El Dahkla Oasis where we visit the old Islamic village and the ancient temple, After checking into your hotel you can enjoy the hot spring water swimming pool. Dinner and overnight in El Dakhla.
Day 6: El Dahkla, El Kharga and Luxor After breakfast check out from your hotel and we visit the Balat Tomb. We then drive to El Kharga Oasis and visit El Bagwat Chapels and the El Kharga Museum - holding objects from the Four Civilisations. We then continue to Luxor where you will check into your hotel, have dinner and overnight there.
Day 7: Luxor After breakfast check out from your hotel (leave your bags in their safe-keeping). We then drive across the River Nile to visit the West Bank - the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Menmon. After lunch we visit the Temple of Karnak(the largest temple ever built for a god). For those with stamina, or needing to relax and unwind, you can sail on the River Nile in a felucca and see the sun set. Transfer to Luxor airport for flight to Cairo.
Day 8: Cairo and Final Departure After breakfast check out from the hotel. Depending upon flight times there is the opportunity to visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Depart for Cairo Airport (after collecting luggage) and final departure.
