Nile Treasures

 

                          Luxor & Nile Cruise & Aswan & Cairo & Luxor

Day 1: Arrive  in Luxor
Real Egypt Tours' representative will meet you at Luxor International Airport. You will then be transferred to your Nile Cruise Ship where you will check into your room and afterwards enjoy Dinner.


 

Day 2: West bank
After breakfast, on the ship, we will pay a visit to the West Bank of Luxor - namely The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, Habou Temple and the Colossi of Memnon.  We will then return back to the ship have lunch and then experience the boat sailing to Esna. The views of the banks of the River Nile will be an unforgettable memory. Tea will be served during sailing. The ship will dock at Edfou where we will have dinner on board and stay overnight.
 


Day 3: Edfou & Kom Ombo
After breakfast we will visit the best preserved temple of the falcon god Horus afterwards returning to the boat and sail to Kom Ombo.  After lunch we will visit Kom Ombo temple - the only double temple in Egypt of Horus and Sobek then back to the boat to sail to Aswan where we will overnight on the boat and have dinner.


Day 4: Abu Simbel
After breakfast we will transfer to Aswan airport and fly to Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel is one of the most important sites in Egypt. It is a double temple built by Ramses ll not only for himself but also for his beloved wife Nefatari. After experiencing the magic of Ramses ll and Nefetari we fly back to Aswan and the boat where we will take lunch.  In the afternoon we will relax sailing in a felucca on the Nile around the Botanical Garden, the Aghakhan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island.
In the Evening we will take the motor boat to enjoy the fascinating Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple. We will return to the boat to enjoy dinner and overnight in Aswan.


Day 5: Aswan
After breakfast we check out from the boat and visit the High Dam, the Old Dam, the Granite Quarries where  the Unfinished Obelisk is situated and the Temple of Philae. We will have lunch in a lovely restaurant in Aswan and then have an amazing tour to the nearby Nubian Village by motor boat.  On our way we will see the natural islands of Aswan. On our return to the boat we will collect our luggage and transfer to Aswan airport to fly to Cairo. We will overnight in Cairo at a five star hotel.


Day 6: Cairo
After breakfast check out from the hotel. We will visit El Giza plateau, the great Pyramids of the Old Kingdom Pharaohs, the Sphinx and the Solar Boat Museum. You will then have lunch in a beautiful restaurant in Cairo afterwards visiting the massive Cairo Museum which contains more than one hundred and twenty thousand objects. We can also pay a visit to the famous Khan El Khalili Souk and wander around its many streets.
 
Finally we will transfer to Cairo Airport and fly back to Luxor.


Day 7: Luxor
After breakfast we will visit Karnak Temple and the Luxor Museum. After lunch we will visit Luxor temple which is considered to be the Temple of the Three Civilizations. We can arrange for a city tour around Luxor by a Caleche - a horse drawn carriage.


Day 8: final Departure
After breakfast - check out from your hotel. (Your luggage will be left in safe-keeping with the hotel).Depending on flight departure times there is the opportunity to relax, before your journey, by sailing on the Nile in a felucca. We will then collect your luggage and transfer you to Luxor International Airport for your final departure.
 
N.B. If someone finds it all too tiring they can finish their trip in Cairo
