The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, commonly known as the Egyptian Museum, in Cairo is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items. It houses the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities and many treasures of King Tutankhamen. Due to its expansion the museum has moved a several times but has now arrived at its final resting site in Tahrir Square.
